Old Vegas

I love shooting the old houses and streets of downtown Vegas. We have so little history here, and what we have is often torn down to make way for something new and shiny. I'd rather have something with a little character myself.

Portrait of.........a fire hydrant

When I was shooting with the LV Doc class last week I decided to take a portrait of each fire hydrant that I came across. I was shooting with my Lensbaby Edge 80 portrait lens so that makes sense, right?

If you are old enough you have that Three Dog Night song in your head now. If you're not, you'll just have to google it to understand. I was able to shoot with the LV Doc class on Wednesday. It was great fun. I shot with my iPhone and my 35mm La Sardina toy camera. Much lighter gear than my usual Nikon setup. As always the theme for Valentine's Day week was love. Which I guess to me means singularity, unless you are a pigeon. Obviously, love is for the birds.
